Web app development

Custom web application development, from portal to platform

When a website has to do real work, taking bookings, holding accounts, handling payments or running a dashboard, it becomes a piece of software. We build web applications that are secure, quick and designed for the people who use them every day.

Hands on a keyboard in front of a wide monitor with blurred code shapes.

Who it is for

Is this the right fit?

What you get

What we build for you

Accounts and sign-in

Passkeys, passwords, roles and invitations, built carefully because it is where most breaches begin.

Dashboards and reports

The numbers your team checks every day, on one screen that works on a phone.

Bookings, orders and payments

Rules for availability, deposits and refunds, with payments handled through a provider you trust.

Files, messages and notifications

Secure uploads, in-app chat, and email or WhatsApp alerts when something needs attention.

Fast, global delivery

Built on edge infrastructure so people in Sydney, Toronto and London get the same quick response.

Accessibility and testing

Keyboard and screen-reader support, and tests that exercise the real flows before release.

How it works

From first call to launch

  1. Understand the jobWe talk to the people who will use the system and write down the three or four things it must do well.
  2. Scope the first releaseA fixed-price first version with the essentials, and a roadmap for the rest.
  3. Design the flowsClickable screens for each key task, approved before engineering begins.
  4. Build and testWorking software shared early, with automated tests and a secure foundation.
  5. Launch and iterateA supported launch, monitoring, and further phases based on how people really use it.

You work with the person who builds it, approve every design in your private client portal, and pay in milestones. One written, fixed quote for an agreed scope, valid for 7 days, and you own the design and custom code once the project is paid.

UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe

Built for the markets you sell in

Applications that hold accounts and payments must respect local rules: GDPR and UK GDPR, state and provincial privacy laws in North America, the Privacy Act in Australia, and accessibility standards in all of them. We design for data protection from the start, keep an audit trail, and choose providers and regions to suit where your users are.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a website and a web application?

A website mostly presents information. A web application lets people sign in, enter and change data, and complete tasks, so it needs accounts, a database, rules and much more testing.

Do you build MVPs and first versions?

Yes. We recommend a deliberately small first release that solves one real problem, so you learn from real users before paying for features nobody needs.

What technology do you use?

We choose the simplest reliable tools for the job. Our own portal and admin run on TypeScript with edge infrastructure, which is fast, secure and inexpensive to run. We explain the choice for your project in plain language.

Who owns the code?

You do, once the project is paid. There is no lock-in and no fee to get your files back.

How do you keep it secure?

Careful sign-in, role-based access, validated input, encrypted secrets, rate limits, security headers, backups and an audit trail, all designed in rather than added later.

Can you take over or fix an existing application?

Often yes. We start with a short review of the code and infrastructure, and tell you whether to repair, refactor or rebuild.

Can the application integrate with other systems?

Yes: payments, email, calendars, accounting software, messaging and more. We check each system's API limits before committing to a design.
