A phone repair lab's whole business, online: quote, track, send in, shop and trade, in three languages
A concept study by iVishwa, shown with the shop owner's agreement: a complete website and proposal for Mr Bro Repair, a micro-soldering phone repair lab in Sri Lanka. Customers can get a price, follow a repair live, send a phone in by courier and buy certified phones and gear, while other repair shops can send work to the lab. It speaks English, Sinhala and Tamil, in light and dark mode, and the plan includes a custom repair-shop management system behind it.
Mr Bro Repair is a micro-soldering lab with a loyal following: more than 4,500 people in its Facebook community and over 1,130 YouTube subscribers watching 39 repair videos (public figures, October 2026). But there was no website to send them to. Customers phone just to ask a price, message to ask whether their phone is ready, and the shop is found mostly by people nearby, not on Google. We built a live demo and a proposal to show what the whole business could look like online.
What customers ask today
How much will this repair cost?
Is my phone ready yet?
Can I send it in from outside Colombo?
Will anyone see my photos and data?
What the website has to do
Show a price, time and warranty without a phone call
Let customers follow a repair without asking
Take courier send-ins from anywhere on the island
Sell certified phones and gear that fits
Give other repair shops a trade channel
Work in Sinhala, Tamil and English on any phone
What we did
How we built it
01
A first screen that says what the lab is known for
"We repair what others replace." The headline is the lab's whole promise. Beside it, a motherboard with a thermal scan, a repaired chip and a live job card shows the work instead of describing it, and three small badges answer the first worries: no data access, no fix no fee, and a 30-point QC with a written warranty.
Pick the phone from every major brand (close to two hundred models), pick the fault, and see the repair time, the warranty and a price range, with the option to book a drop-off or a courier pickup. The aim is a price in about thirty seconds, so nobody has to phone just to ask.
A drag-to-compare slider shows a faulty OLED beside the same phone after a laser flex bypass, with tabs for green lines, a white screen and pink lines. It explains why the original panel, the original colours and True Tone are kept, which is exactly what sets this lab apart.
Enter a Job ID, an IMEI or a serial number and watch the phone move from intake to microscope diagnostics, laser or board repair, 30-point QC and ready for delivery, with a timestamp for every stage. Microscope photos and a warranty card with a verifiable QR code sit on the same job card.
Customers from Jaffna to Hambantota choose the repair, print a waybill and hand the parcel to a courier. A packing checklist and backup guide protect the phone and the data, Domex, Koombiyo and Curiel are the courier options, optional transit insurance covers both ways, and WhatsApp alerts follow every milestone.
Certified pre-owned phones carry a 30-point inspection badge, battery health and a grade, while cases, protectors and chargers are matched to the exact model the shopper owns. Stock levels, a basket and several ways to pay (card, PayHere or a bank slip) turn the repair lab into a shop that is open day and night.
Other shops can send the jobs their bench cannot do: micro-soldering, CPU reballing and laser display repair. An approved partner login, batch submission with every device tracked on its own, a written warranty to hand to their customer, and tiered trade discounts that grow with volume.
One tap switches the whole site between English, Sinhala and Tamil, so every customer reads it in the language they are most comfortable in. A light and dark switch means the site looks right by day or by night, and it stays quick on both iPhone and Android.
A Front desk tab to lodge a repair in about a minute
Faults and photos recorded at intake, never a passcode
Take the payment there and then: cash, card or bank transfer
A professional bill and a warranty card, each with a QR code
Print them, or send them on WhatsApp

Next: a front desk for customers who walk in
Customers who walk in should not need the website. Staff open a Front desk tab, lodge the repair, take the payment and hand over a clean bill and a warranty card. Each carries a QR code that opens the job and proves the warranty.
Every service they have had, with dates and the technician
Warranty details, expiry dates, claims and returns
Bills, payments and any balance
Photos, QC results and every message sent
Reminders before a warranty ends

Next: a profile for every customer
A custom job-tracking and CRM backend gives each customer one profile with their whole history, so the team never has to search chats or notebooks. A returning customer is recognised, and a warranty question is answered in seconds.
Accounting: income, expenses, daily cash-up and reports
Invoices, receipts and monthly statements for trade shops
Stock and parts control with low-stock alerts and supplier orders
Staff logins with roles, technician assignment and an activity trail
Online shop orders and payments in the same place
Automatic WhatsApp updates at every stage of a repair

Next: the whole shop behind one login
Instead of a CRM bolted onto separate tools, the plan is one custom repair-shop management system: job tracking, customers, billing, a small accounting system and stock, all built around how this shop works. It is planned, not built yet, and we will update this page when it is live.
