A UK Shopify store concept where scroll-driven films, a taste finder and a brew timer do the selling
A concept study by iVishwa, shown with the owner's permission: an online store for NIKO Ceylon Tea, selling loose-leaf Ceylon tea and true Ceylon cinnamon to the UK. It teaches the story of the leaf, helps shoppers choose, and is built on a free Shopify theme that we customised until nothing of the original look was left.
Loose-leaf tea and true cinnamon are hard to choose online. Shoppers meet words like OP, FBOP and cassia, they cannot smell the leaf, and plenty of tea looks the same in a photo. We wanted a store that teaches lightly, helps people choose, and still feels like a place to buy.
What shoppers want to know

What do OP, BOP and FBOP actually mean?
Is this real Ceylon cinnamon?
How long should I brew it?

Teach without lecturing
Help shoppers choose in a few questions

A hero that sets the mood and the offer
A misty tea-hill photograph, a headline that promises "a better cuppa", and two clear actions: shop Ceylon tea or find your tea. Small proof points sit under the buttons: the brand's Great Taste Awards, loose leaf from 50g to 750g, and prices in pounds.
A full-screen image film plays as you scroll, taking the shopper from the estate to the plucking of two leaves and a bud, the rolling, oxidising and firing, and finally the cup. The cinnamon story gets its own film.
A dated timeline of Ceylon tea, the story of how a parcel from Kandy became Britain's cuppa, and a live counter of cups poured in Britain so far today, clearly labelled as an estimate.
Tap a grade to learn what OP, BOP and FBOP mean (they describe leaf size, not quality), then explore five growing regions with their altitudes and the NIKO teas that come from each.
A side-by-side comparison of Ceylon cinnamon and cassia, including coumarin content, with a cited source, so the claim can be checked rather than just believed.
Light, Classic or Strong: pick a strength, start the timer, and let it chime when the tea is ready. A small tool that brings shoppers back to the page after the purchase.
The store speaks to its market: pounds first, a selector for Ireland, bundles that make a bigger basket easy, and a basket drawer that keeps shoppers in the page.
