In the Header section:
- Show search adds the search button.
- Show search as a field on large screens shows a full field instead of a button on computers.
- Search suggestions are the words that rotate in the empty field, such as "linen dress" or "running shorts". Use what your shoppers look for most.
As shoppers type, Selvedge suggests products, collections and pages straight away (Shopify's predictive search).
On the results page, select Search results and turn on Enable filtering to let shoppers narrow results by size, color and price. The filters come from the Search & Discovery app, where you can also add synonyms, such as "pants" for "trousers".
