About this section

Engraving on the product: customers type their words, choose a finish, and see the words on the plate. The words go into the cart with the product.

Good to know: Shopify cannot charge for a typed message, so a paid engraving needs its own variant or product.

Photograph behind the plate	Image	A close crop of the product where the engraved plate sits. Choose an image from your files.
Fixed line on the plate	Text	—
Engraving style	Choice	Choose Plate over the picture, Engraved into the metal. Plate over the picture to start.
Position, left to right	Slider	Move the engraving until it sits where it would on the real product. From 10 to 90 %, 50 % to start.
Position, top to bottom	Slider	From 10 to 90 %, 50 % to start.
Size	Slider	From 60 to 200 %, 100 % to start.

Finish property name	Text	Shopify cannot price a line-item property. A paid wrap has to be a variant or its own product; these options only tell the packer what to do.

Blocks are added inside the section with Add block, and can be reordered by dragging.
