When a shopper adds a product, the cart slides in from the side, so they can keep shopping without leaving the page.
Select Cart drawer in the editor's left list (near the top). To see it in the preview, add any product to the cart.

| Free samples the shopper chooses | Free samples | Off |

A spend-goal bar that works
Turn on Enable 3-tier rewards progress bar.
Set First tier goal amount ($) and First tier reward label, for example 75 and "Free shipping". Add a second and third tier if you offer more ("A travel-size gift" at 120).
Make each reward real in Shopify: a free shipping rate over that amount in SettingsShipping and delivery, or an automatic discount in Discounts.
The theme shows the shopper's progress. The reward itself must be set up in Shopify with the same amount, or the shopper will not get it at checkout.
Free samples
Create each sample as a product priced at 0, and put them in a collection called "Samples". Keep them out of your other collections and hide them from search if you like.
Turn on Show free samples, choose that collection in Sample products and set Samples per order (1 to 4).
Each sample is added as its own line, marked as a sample on the order. If the shopper removes everything else, the samples go too.
Recommendations
Recommendations engine mode chooses where the suggestions come from: AI hybrid (Shopify AI + collection fallback) uses Shopify's recommendations for what is in the cart and your Fallback upsell collection when there are none; Shopify AI only (based on cart items) and Curated collection only use one source. A new shop has little sales history, so set a fallback collection of small, easy add-ons.
The delivery estimate
Turn on Show live estimated delivery date and set Earliest delivery, in business days and Latest delivery, in business days to match your real shipping. It counts business days from today.
The cart page
Shoppers who open /cart directly see the cart page. Set it in the editor's page selector > Cart; Show order note lets shoppers leave a note.
