Signups are saved as customers in Customers with email marketing consent, so any email app you use can reach them.
Four places to collect emails
| Where | Section |
|---|---|
| A row on any page | Newsletter |
| Over a picture | Email signup banner |
| Every page, at the bottom | The footer's Newsletter settings |
| A popup | Newsletter popup |
Set up the popup
In the theme editor, select Newsletter popup in the left list (it sits near the bottom, after the footer), and turn on Enable newsletter popup.
Choose when it opens: Time delay trigger (counted from the visitor's first scroll, tap or key press, so it never interrupts a page they have not touched) and/or Enable exit-intent trigger (when the pointer heads for the browser's tabs, on computers).
Set Show again after: how long a visitor who claimed a code waits before seeing it again. A visitor who closes it without subscribing sees it again after one day.
Write the Heading and Subheading, and choose a Side visual image.
Optional: under Welcome gifts, offer up to three gifts, each with a First gift name and First gift discount code. Create each code first in Discounts.
The popup closes with its close button, the Escape key or a click outside it, and keyboard focus stays inside it while it is open.
Age verifier
For shops that sell only to adults (fragrances with alcohol in some markets, for example), turn on Enable age verifier in the Age verifier section. Set the Heading, Text, buttons and Remember the answer for. It is off until you turn it on.
