Text is hard to read

Text over a picture

1. Select the section and raise its Overlay opacity (or Overlay darkness, Veil over the image, Shade behind the text, depending on the section). 20 to 40 % is usually enough.

2. If the text sits over a busy part of the picture, move the text, or set the picture's focal point so a calm area sits behind it.

3. Still hard to read? Choose a picture with a quieter area, or a darker picture for light text.

Text on a plain background

The section's Color scheme pairs a background with a text color. If the two are too close:

• Choose a different Color scheme for the section, or
• Edit the scheme in Theme settings > Colors, or your palette in Theme settings > Brand colors (colors).
